Hi, I’m Geoff Franklin. Thanks for taking the time to read a little about who I am and what I do. I’ll try to keep it short so that I don’t bore you too much!
I initially studied computer animation at college to become a digital animator, and not long after graduating, I was employed as a full time 2D Flash animator for a company called Mediasphere. I worked for Mediasphere for about 6 years, and throughout that time, I was lucky enough to have been given the opportunities to build and hone my skills in a number of areas as the company moved more towards web design and web solutions.
Part time since 2006 and now full time since June 2010, I’ve primarily been running my own web design and graphic design business called Exist Online. Like running any business, it can take a lot of time and perseverance, but so long as you’re enjoying what you’re doing along the way, that’s always a positive.
Since I’ve been with my lovely girlfriend, Laura Tuton (and now fiancee as of 15/09/2012), she has encouraged and helped me to grow more as a designer and artist, where she has also inspired me to take up photography. I’d been dabbling in photography since early 2009, and since then my love for the art has grown, where I now focus mostly on videography. Laura has been a freelance photographer for a number of years. We now collaborate on photo shoots, weddings and other events, where I’m usually the one shooting video more so than photos.
I plan to continue running Exist Online for as long as I can, and carrying on with my photography and video work alongside Laura for years to come. We make a great team, and I love doing something I enjoy with the woman I love :)
